Why do some ociate the removal of prayer from schools with school shootings?

Here, in Canada, we have had 7 school shootings since 1975. Prayer was taken out of public schools in Ontario in 1987, when I was in the second grade, and has been out of other provinces even longer. Yet there has been no major increase in school shootings............
